Bristol City played at Ashton Gate when it was first started. The stadium alone has a capacity of 21,500. With such a big capacity, it is not surprising that people are flocking to the stadium to watch a game or two, especially when the season kicks off and everyone is feeling the intense heat. The stadium was supposed to be the home of Bedminster Football Club until 1900, when the merge happened. It was not until 1904 that Bristol City Football Club took over the place officially, making it the home of Bristol City Football Club.

Ashton Gate is not only the place for football practice - it has been the host of some big concerts involving Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams and even Bon Jovi along the way. From time to time, there are concerts organised there, making it a popular landmark among the residents of the UK.
