Interested in being a professional footballer? Try the Bristol City Football Academy for a change. Starting out in 1998, the academy was launched to attract more young talented children to receive training to be the next football star in Bristol City Football Club. This is not unusual, as many football clubs are doing the same thing for the same purpose: to get the best talent in town.
The only problem is that the rules and regulations are very strict, and it is never easy to gain entry into the academy. You need to prove yourself as having the potential to be an excellent footballer before you can join the academy. The academy accepts both female and male participants, and they are known as scholars in the academy, seeing as they are only teenagers from nine years old to eighteen years old.
Most of the time, they spend time training at Collett Park or Chew Valley. While they receive training, they must attend school just like any other kid in town. There is no exception to this. If you think you are up for the challenge, go on and apply! Who knows, you might be the next star in the football club and carve your own successful career.
